Where the science met the client.
Primary market research for global pharma clients, including a top-10 company: testing positioning and messaging with doctors ahead of launch.
- 160 doctor interviews, 4 markets. Tested positioning for a new hypertension therapy; the client adopted the recommendations for its non-US launch.
- Zero delay. Caught two compliance risks before fieldwork; all 4 markets delivered on time.
- New format. Built a client-facing podcast end to end; the client asked for it again.
- Also: projects in chronic kidney disease and paediatric low-grade glioma.
Good strategy starts with listening closely and ends with a message simple enough to repeat.
Because even overlooked diseases deserve a power pitch.
DermaNova-29a™: an exosome therapy for keloids, an aggressive form of skin scarring, taken from lab concept to investor-ready venture.
- Sized an $80–100M obtainable market bottom-up from a $1.5B total, and benchmarked 13 competing therapies.
- Invented a cooled-injection device concept that keeps the therapy stable and eases injection pain, and mapped the GMP manufacturing framework.
- Cleared the IP path with an exclusive A*STAR licensing strategy.
- Shaped the plan with insights from 15+ industry experts and users: patients, surgeons and stem cell suppliers across 3 continents.
- Built a $2.5–3M seed plan with a clear exit route and three potential acquirers: Galderma, L’Oréal and AbbVie.
Research with a Purpose: Precision Oncology
Why does one cancer respond to a drug while another shrugs it off? I spent 1,000+ hours in the lab chasing that question, comparing 50+ cancer cell lines.
The trail led to one gene: SIRT3, a candidate marker of which tumours are sensitive to mitochondria-targeting drugs.
The finding became a paper in Cell Communication and Signaling (Springer Nature, 2026).

SIRT3 determines the sensitivity of cancer cells to mitochondrial targeting
Co-author, Cell Communication and Signaling (Springer Nature, 2026). Identified SIRT3 as a candidate marker of which cancer cells respond to mitochondria-targeting drugs, based on gene expression across 50+ cancer cell lines.
